What is a Venus Legacy™ treatment?
The Venus Legacy™ treatment is a completely non-invasive body contouring application for skin tightening, wrinkle reduction and celilute.
As we age our body stores extra fat reserves and the elasticity of the skin decreases, because the natural production of collagen decreases which leads to signs of aging. The Venus Legacy™ stimulates the production of fibroblasts in the skin. The fibroblasts produce collagen and elastin.
How does the Venus Legacy™ treatment work?
Venus Legacy uses patented technology to produce heat just below the surface of the skin. This process naturally stimulates the production of collagen fibers while also shrinking the fat cells. At the same time a VariPulse machine (an adjustable pulse suction technology) pulls the skin upward allowing heat to flow deeper into the tissues for a safe, comfortable and effective treatment.
What can I expect during the treatment?
Most patients feel a gentle warmth as the applicator gently warms to a precisely controlled temperature to apply two types of energy (multipolar radiofrequency and pulsed electromagnetic fields) just below the skin's surface. The risk of burns is extremely low as sensors in the device provide accurate, real-time, continuous temperature sensing. Both the applicator temperature and vacuum strength can be lowered for patient comfort. As a result the Venus Legacy procedure is very comfortable and painless.
How long does a treatment take?
The duration of the treatment depends on the area being treated. For example an eyebrow lift is 12 minutes, the entire face is 30 minutes and a cellulite treatment of the buttocks is 40 minutes.
How many treatments do I need?
Most patients receive 6-8 treatments on the face and 8-10 treatments for the body. Treatments are usually scheduled a week apart. Specific treatment plan depends on your individual needs and expectations.
The treatment continues for up to about 3 months. To maintain the result we recommend a repeat treatment once every 6 weeks.
How much recovery time do I need?
During the treatment the skin turns red, after about 30 minutes the red color disappears.
How long will the result remain visible?
After the treatment the skin feels firmer, the results will become more visible over the course of a few weeks. The treatment improvement of the skin, continues for 3 months.
